As soon as we were handed the rum punch, we knew we were in for a great weekend. It was the start of our St. Lucia escape, one of JetBlue's amazing St Lucia vacation packages, through JetBlue Getaways. Now that JetBlue has direct flights to St. Lucia, it makes a fabulous mini-break even easier!

| Champagne and fruit in the hot tub? I can get used to this! |
We began our journey on a brisk (early) November morning. Thank goodness JetBlue has seating with electrical outlets for your laptop and phone - I was able to complete some last minute work while sipping coffee at our gate. A smooth ride and a few bags of free Terra chips later (and in-flight DIRECTV and "Fly-Fi", yes please!) we were touching down in lush St. Lucia. Once we were quickly through customs and luggage pick up, a taxi took us across the island to The Landings St. Lucia.
The attentive staff greeted us with icy rum punch and an escort to our gorgeous suite. Many of the rooms at The Landings are equipped with a private, balcony hot tub (!!!) and amazing views of either the marina or the ocean. Our butler, Peronilla, met us at the suite with champagne, cheese and fruit, and before you know it, were enjoying the view and sipping bubbly in soft robes. Talk about a way to de-stress!

That night, we chose to dine at The Landings' beach club, and then it was time for a romantic stroll on the beach and another glass of bubbly in our private hot tub. The best part of the day? Being barefoot and sans sweater - something we Bostonians appreciate during winter's doldrums. Take it from me: clear a weekend in February - you're going to want to take JetBlue Getaways up on some of their amazing vacation deals!
