Tangled up in Blues

Normally, when we talk about a day-to-night outfit, we're talking about an outfit that takes you from your office job to cocktails. This is another kind of day-to-night - the "June Saturday in New England" day-to-night. During the day, you want a light shirt and comfy bottoms (especially if your Saturday consists of doing a little shopping - you want something you can take on and off easily!). In the evening, you'll need a jacket to keep your arms free from cool breezes (and, let's face it, mosquitos). 

I wore this look for an afternoon at Cambridgeside Galleria - scouring for beauty basics at Sephora and The Body Shop, enjoying a blowout at Dellaria, and trend-watching at J. Crew and TJ Maxx. And I won't lie, the elastic waistband on these pants didn't just come in handy when trying on clothes (ahem, Cheesecake Factory, ahem).
