In my last post, I wrote about the difference in my weekend wear and my weekday attire. For both, I like to wear some simple classics, and punch them up with some fun, interesting pieces. Whether it's a statement necklace, a funky vest, or, in this case, a chunky vintage belt and a leopard scarf, it's easy to add some whimsy to your basic pieces!
How do you dress up the classic items in your closet?

I think you've been in my head. I've been so bored with my standard winter work outfits lately, so I did my best to up the ante this week with accessories. I broke out some silk scarves, some belts... you can't believe how much better my mood was afterwards! It totally took me out of my clothing rut.
ReplyDeleteYes! Sometimes a little accessory is all you need!
DeleteI have been having fun busting out of the 9-5 outfits all the time- it's nice to see some more casual fare on the my site and I am curious to see where it goes....though for both, weekend and week the classics are your bread and butter. There is a reason they are called the classics, n'est-ce pas?
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY! You know they are going to work, so there is no stress or fuss :)

I was actually excited enough to create a thought :-) I actually do have 2 questions for you if you do not mind. Could it be just me or do some of these responses come across like they are left by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are posting at additional online social sites, I would like to follow you. Could you list every one of your communal sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
