If you are only going to buy one new piece for summer, make it a floral print blouse. No matter how you wear it, you're going to look ladylike and chic! On a cool day, a floral blouse can freshen the black tights you've been wearing all winter and spring. Once the sun is out, the same blouse dresses up your favorite pair of cut-offs. I like a blouse that's a little sheer, and the prettier and more colorful and delicate the print, the better!
Are you wearing floral prints this spring? What is your favorite way to style them?
WORKDAY: BLOUSE: H&M, SKIRT: Stanley Platos / Martin Ross, SHOES: Jeffrey Campbell, JACKET: RACHEL Rachel Roy, SUNGLASSES: Urban Outfitters
Another Boston Blogger, Laura from A Little Bit of Lacquer, puts together a number of office appropriate looks for Work It Wednesday. Check out the workday looks here!
Both looks are cool! I especially love the weekend look :)
ReplyDeleteI love the printed blouse paired with the animal print skirt. I'll have to try that!
ReplyDeleteLissy, I'd like to take some sort of style blogger cred for that, but it happened by accident. I had the skirt laying out for another outfit, and when I brought home the blouse, I tossed it down alongside the skirt. Then I noticed how good they looked together...voilĂ !
DeleteLove both looks, but especially the weekend look! It looks super casual but still totally put together.
ReplyDeleteI am tres impressed with the blouse et leopard skirt combo. I would never have thought to pair those together but they work, and of course, you look tres chic!
ReplyDeleteIts jungle/safari chic!
ReplyDeleteI love pairing my louder floral prints with something nude or if it's a more subtle print, utilizing one of the accent colors that may be a bit bolder (like fuschia) for a major piece like a pencil skirt.
ReplyDeleteI also have paired it with polka dots - I love the way you styled yours.
xo
Great ideas, Georgina - I love using polka dots to mix patterns and bright colors so I am definitely on board with these styling tips!
DeleteLove, love, love the prints! All those colors and textures! This is great!
