When the Jason Wu for Target line came out, I immediatley gravitated to this kitty tee. I know the cat is supposed to be Milu - a mischievous cat that inspired the line. However, it also closely resembles Winston - another mischievous cat that wreaks havoc (and snuggles) around my apartment.
I was out of town the day of the Jason Wu release, and, if you've ever tried to order online from Target's special collections, you know what a mess that can be (Missoni debacle, anyone?). So I resigned myself to a depressing closet with no Winston tee (melodrama alert!). But! The Well Appointed Catwalk managed to snatch up the tee for a giveaway...and I won! I've been wearing the shirt non-stop - I think it works with a prim skirt and kitten (no pun intended) heels as well as a rocker jacket and cuffed jeans.
P.S. Why don't you join me for cocktails, cupcakes and chatting about fashion? I'll be at Lord and Taylor on Boylston Street on Thursday, May 31st from 5:30-8:30pm for a Fashion Blogger Style-Off, sponsored by Keds and Lord and Taylor! We'll be styling outfits inspired by Keds fun new designs - it's going to be a blast...see you there!
TEE: Jason Wu for Target (won from The Well Appointed Catwalk) JEANS: Paul and Joe for Target SEQUIN JACKET: Tulle via LIT Boutique SHOES: Alice & Olivia (swapped!) SCARF: Nordstrom's SUNGLASSES: Urban Outfitters WATCH: Michael Kors BRACELET: H&M
Congrats on winning the T-shirt. It looks really cute and matches both outfits great!

Rockin' it out, girl. And your kitty cat is super cute.
ReplyDeleteI believe we might just need to find a red bow collar for Winston!
ReplyDeleteA bow on Winston would last all of 3.45 seconds before he pulled it off and started running around the apartment with it hanging from his mouth...
DeleteBut bow, what a sight it would be!
DeleteThank you, Thank you! Ramon will be playing here all week...
DeleteI agree that a red bow would be adorable, but I can see how it's not practical. The cat on your shirt looks like your Winston - congrats on winning it! Serendipitious!
ReplyDeleteI so wish I was in Boston on the 31st. The event at Lord and Taylor sounds great.
@Jeanodalltrades I am so glad you are coming to Boston! I really hope we can meet up!
DeleteSo lucky you snagged that top! That kitten pattern was my favorite of the collection I think. Love all of the different ways you styled it too.
ReplyDeleteStay in the Lines
I looove a good tee, and this one is too adorable! It goes beautifully with all of these looks!
ReplyDeleteOMG I MISS WINSTON! He really does look like Milu. I'm still waiting on Winston's web series "Is this a food?"
ReplyDeleteWish I could make your Keds event; I'm (finally) starting to warm up to sneakers.
I only need your help to make "ITAF" a reality. We should pitch it to Powderhouse productions - they are here in MA and make a lot of the Animal Planet shows!!!
DeleteIn other adorable Winston news, we have roofers working on the building next door. Winston is TERRIFIED of them. He skulks around on the floor, walking like a lizard (as low to the ground as he can get, ears all flat on his head)...I keep holding him and telling him it's OK, the work men can't hurt such a brave kitty - but he's not buying it.
I'm so loving this post and I LOVE your new tee even more. I need more cat-inspired clothing in my closet. I'm bummed I missed your styling event. Next time.
ReplyDeleteas a cat owner and lover I loveeeeeeeee this outfit!!! the T-shirt is wonderful and the way you paired it with the blazer rocks!!!
