It was hot under the buzzing spotlights, and the models needed water. But these girls were professionals, so they gave good face and stuck some poses. One could tell, they knew they were wearing something special. Luxe fabrics, sumptuous fur, full-bodied colors and exuberant detailing were in abundance at Wes Gordon's Fall 2012 collection. People crowded into the Chelsea Piers to get a glimpse of the pieces, which were elegant, with impeccable workmanship. Each piece was both solidly wearable and spectacular. Sheer dresses and lace-like cutouts seemed pointedly on trend, and menswear looks were decidedly tailored, but absolutely sexy. Mr. Gordon even found a way to make a chain-metal-esque top look delicate! Sold online at Bergdorf Goodman, stuffy luxury had no place here. These clothes have cool-girl comfort.
