Yesterday I wrote about how accessories can perk up an otherwise boring outfit. Today I used an accessory in an entirely different way - I built my whole outfit around it! I love this floppy hat for it's 70's - boho vibe (okay, okay, I also love it for it's more than adequate coverage of a bad hair day). So I grabbed a pair of wide leg jeans, a silk, printed peasant blouse and a cape. To put it in the words of my friend Sami, "You really committed to this seventies look!"
Do you ever plan a look around an accessory?
Hat: ASOS
Blouse: thrifted
Cape: purchased in Peru
Jeans: Gap
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: MICHAEL Michael Kors
Bag: vintage
Sunglasses: purchased in Dublin
Gloves: purchased in Dublin
Scarf: H&M
Bracelets: Vintage, H&M
Watch: Michael Kors
Absolutely! One accessory can nurture an entire image in my head of where I want to go with my outfit. I love this post, stylish, multi-dimensional and fun.
