Like all of you, I am getting to the point where I can't count how many holiday parties I've attended. Yes, yes, I know, "Cry me a river!" Honestly, they've mostly been work-related events (OK, with a cookie swap and a blogger party thrown in); I actually missed a friend's party I really wanted to attend. Even so, I've been busy the past week inventing appropriate outfits. We've talked before about alternative holiday ensembles, and party multi-taskers. But what about a look for your significant others' company party?
This is like the "meet the parents" of corporate events. You want to look your best and be on your best behavior, because your actions don't just reflect you, they reflect your significant other! I like to go ultra classic - if you need to throw in some whimsy, do it with accessories (like this bow headband or some patterned tights).
Are you attending a function with your significant other's colleagues? What are you wearing?
Sweater: Gap
Skirt: St. John
Tights: c/o Milk & Honey
Shoes: Vintage Bottega Veneta
Handbag: Urban Outfitters
Coat: Max Mara
Headband: H&M
Watch: Michael Kors
Necklaces, Guess, Gift from my family
Sunglasses: Tilly's
Ah I love it!! Totally appropriate and chic, and the bow is total perfection.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I totally agree with you- when it comes to a significant other's work event, best to dress down and let your sparkling wit shine through.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe your red hair is still in!
Perfect corporate party outfit! You still have all of your personality and style but you're not going to scare or overwhelm anyone- or steal attention from your S.O :)
ReplyDeleteLove the head band! You're adorable!

Look at you in that bow! Could you be any cuter?! Such a great look.

Cute! The bow + peals + tights reminds me of Blair from Gossip Girl.
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute; love the skirt!
