It's officially starting to get chilly in the Hub. Some trees, green just last week, are now empty of leaves. Many are in full green bloom for what is certainly the last week before they become engulfed in tangerine, amber and rust. It's evidently time to take out the jackets and light coats - like this cropped leopard coat I picked up for free (okay, store credit) at my local consignment shop.
With the change in seasons comes a change in apparel, and while most people think of spring cleaning, autumn is a wonderful time to clean out your closet and assess what you have (and what you need) for the winter months. There are probably some items in your closet that you've worn only once, or maybe twice - consign them, and you might have more room in your closet for a new holiday dress, and more money in your pocket for holiday gifts! Have you consigned clothes before? How did you find the experience?

Oh goodness yes, I have a whole consignment system. Raspberry Beret for items at a lower price point and then The Closet on Newbury for some of the designer goods. I have been working with them for years and love them!

I'm thinking I might try to do a "Shop My Closet" one of these days...but it's a lot more work than simply dropping off a bag at the consignment shop. Speaking of - ladies! ReplyDeleteGreat addition to your closet! Thought that was a jumpsuit! I just went to Buffalo Exchange last week, got robbed but needed cash. Need to find this Raspberry Beret Lani speaks of! I think consigning is genius. Making room and making money, even though it may take time, is never a bad thing.
