I did this whole photo shoot without noticing that there was a smiley face painted on the tree behind me. When I noticed it, during photo edits, I have to say...I kind of like this random smiley face adorning foliage in the middle of the city! And the free-wheeling, smile-sharing ruffians who vandalized public space even spray-painted the face; they didn't cut it into the tree. Landscape loving looters on a lark!
Oh, and, right, I wore some clothes, too. I'm crazy about these tights I picked up at Mint Julep! If it is going to be autumn, and I am going to have to start wearing tights, then please, let me wear tights like these. And can we talk about this prepster-ific sweater? I saw this baby from across a crowded room at a swap and, with light feet and nimble fingers, it was mine (wait, that sounds like I shoplifted it - I didn't, it was a swap.)! Anyway, this was the first outfit to really get me in the mood for autumn - as I strolled through the park, the trees seemed to be smiling at me...

I love the zebra necklace and the preppy vibe of this outfit. I have that sweater in lilac.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, this post made me laugh; I didn't notice the smiley face - that's too cute! Great green sweater - I tried on a similar shade of green in a knit at Anthropologie on Newbury yesterday but alas, it was not meant to be.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to meeting you in person tonight!
Love this outfit!! Ah it just looks so cozy and perfect for fall! Great color too
ReplyDeleteI love the colors. I've been seeing a lot of yellow, wines, grey's and oranges lately. This is a great way to shake things up but still be fitting for fall. I love the way you mixed the stripes and the patterned tights. Plus, the square toe on the shoe's is something I adore. Square toes have a very retro feel to them for me, and I love retro. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute!! Awesome swapped sweater and I must get a denim shirt. I'm still on the prowl for one!
ReplyDeleteI looove all the colors and textures and patterns. So fun!
ReplyDeleteLove your stockings! And the green is fab!
ReplyDeleteI really, REALLY love that skirt! I predict mixing stripes to be the next big thing, so get on it!
ReplyDeletelove the zebra-esque necklace!!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! So fun to find surprises in pictures...at least good surprises. Loving the outfit, the tights are hot!
