I've recently received a few comments regarding the fact that I always have a huge smile on my face in my outfit posts. Yes, I'm having fun! Yes, I love blogging! And yes, when I am not smiling, I totally have Weird Face.
I watched America's Next Top Model a couple times, and besides learning (very quickly) that that show wasn't about up and coming models, it was about Tyra, I learned that, when modeling outfits, one should look "fierce". My fierce face looks like Derek Zoolander's. I don't look pouty, or mad, or even mildly frustrated! I just look silly. And, honestly, my smile is my favorite part about how I look! So there you have it. Happy lady + Weird face = Smiling blogger!
Dress: Zara
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (same shoe, different color)
Watch: Michael Kors
You look great. That dress is super flattering.
ReplyDeleteI don't even attempt modeling faces. I might get flack for this, but a lot of bloggers look downright silly (in my opinion) when they try to be "fierce" instead of just smiling for the camera like a normal person.
Have a good day!
Love this look. Sleek and sophisticated with a bit of edge from the booties! BTW, I wish I would smile more in my pics but it's hard for me when I'm taking photos of myself :)
ReplyDeleteOh Kristen those shoes are gorgeous!!! You look fabulous :)
ReplyDeletethis outfit definitely makes a statement. you look like a strong, take charge kind of woman with killer shoes.
ReplyDeletep.s. you so do not have a weird face.

You DO look like you're having so much and I love that! As a newbie I'm still trying to figure out how to take pictures of myself without looking awkward and I'm definitely smiling is key!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and stylish. Your shoes look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like your blog and so I have an AWARD awaiting for you on my blog. I hope you can come and check it out :)
ReplyDeleteI love your smile! If we all took advice from the modeling world, we would be eating yogurt all day and be completely miserable and hungry.
ReplyDeleteLove the smile, love the shoes and the nails!! xo
ReplyDeleteI recognize this and your shoes were hot! Awesome meeting you!!!!
ReplyDeleteFahk, those shoes are great!! Get it girl. Great outfit.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS DRESS!!! Girlfriend, you are seriously so gorgeous!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, thank you SOO SOO much for adding to my blog! You are such a powerful motivator and I am seriously so happy I know you!! :)
PS Are you going to the Boston Fashion Week Sit & Swap??
I LURVE that dress! And given our close resemblance to each other, I don't know if I should be horrified that you/we have a weird face. I guess I'll just keep smiling and pretend it's not true. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI agree! It's very hard for me to take a picture without smiling. How do all those bloggers do it and take themselves seriously? I just get the giggles when I try to look fierce.
ReplyDeleteWas this your ensemble from the Catwalk for a Cure outing? I remember admiring your booties, I need to get a snazzy pair myself for fall. I love a sleek boot with a dress!
ReplyDeleteI've always appreciated your smile (well, ever since I found your blog). It looks like you enjoy what you do. I'd be smiling too if I had that dress!
