Maybe I should have worn this during Neon Week. In fact, I'm not really sure how this didn't make it into the rotation! Pretty much every color worn during neon week is in this dress - all mixed together. But here's proof positive about how neon can work year round: I wore this dress with black tights and pumps for New Year's Eve...and today I wore this outfit to work.
I got these fantastic wedges at a swap a few months back. For those of you who haven't attended a clothing swap, you simply must check it out! You clean out your closet, removing items that are in good shape, but that you don't wear for one reason or another. Then you drop off your bag at the swap, and hang out and enjoy some snacks while volunteers put out all the clothes. Finally, the bell rings, and everyone scurries to the floor and snatches up a whole windfall of fashion finds!
If you live in the Boston area, there is a swap coming up this Saturday! Jessica Quirk of What I Wore will be on hand to sign her new book (I'm sort of a fan girl - she's the one who inspired me to blog!). If you don't live near the Hub, check out Swap-dot-com for swapping events near you!

Kristen, this outfit is *amazing.* I love everything about it and it looks so good on you! It's a good thing you're so cool or I'd be tempted to start hating you. =)
ReplyDeleteLove this dress - I'm a sucker for bright and colorful.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't wait for the swap this weekend! Its my first one and I'm so excited. See you there!
This dress is awesome! Love the bright colors!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a swap yet. Not very many of those happening in Oklahoma. :(
Great outfit! :)
ReplyDelete@HollyDolly Yay! I am glad you will be there - I wonder if we will end up with each others' stuff :)
ReplyDelete@Mel I'm surprised! I would think OKC, Norman or Tulsa would be ripe for a swap!!
ReplyDeleteLove the look although a swap sounds dangerous haha.. I have seen some people fight it out like no other for certain pieces.. Who am I kidding? I would probably do the same thing if I saw something I really liked.. You asked about the MET? When I went, the line for the McQueen exhibit was over an hour long. I know! I did not think a lot of people would be in line for that but it is something to see if you're in the city.
ReplyDeleteAll the best, Angel
This is so cute! I love the neon. I've never been to a clothing swap before but I've always wanted to try one. It sounds like so much fun!

Are you going to the swap tomorrow? Tell me you are!! I am going to go. I confess, I have never been before. So I'll need all the support I can get and people to teach me in the swap ways!
ReplyDelete*Very* excited to see this dress was from Dillard's... may try to stalk here in Dallas. It is fabulous!
