It's been decidedly non-summer like here in Boston, which means that on nights when Mr. BF and I want to fire up the grill after a crazy day at work (which is one of our favorite things to do), I have been having to wear a sweater. In mid-June. Awesome. While this outfit is decidedly non-fashion-y (is that a word?), this is pretty much my uniform for a weeknight at home with the grill. 
On the menu this evening? Corn on the cob, roasted brussel sprouts, grilled chicken and a petit syrah. Simple pleasures, with a kick thrown in with some small details (garlic, butter, red pepper flakes). Like my dinner, my outfit is also casual...the fun is in the details. A stack of bracelets, some decidedly unfashionable moccasins, sunglasses and a smile: that's pretty much the recipe for a (cool) summer night on the balcony.

I like this casual outfit. I struggle so much with what to wear to relax and still manage to look good. Right now it's usually jeans and a t-shirt, but this is a nice look.
