Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Skirt: Anthropologie, Necklace: Anthropologie, Shoes: Target, Bag: Aldo, Watch: Michael Kors, Sunglasses: Tilly's |
I recently received this message on Facebook: Dear Boston Fashionista, can you help?! My job requires wearing certain colored embroidered shirts on specific days of the week to work. For ex: I have to wear pink every Monday, purple every Tuesday and so on. Any suggestions on how to keep it fresh?
I love this question! I grabbed a pink polo shirt out of the closet and took it for a spin. Here are some of the options I came up with! First, of course, I had to go with some bright colors (above)...
Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Pants: Via Seta, Jacket: Thrifted, Shoes: Chinese Laundry (swapped!), Belt: H&M, Bag: Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses & Watch: Michael Kors, Necklace: Vintage |
And of course, I love a pair of silk trousers for work! This time, I paired the shirt with a leopard belt and a funky jacket...
A little more traditional route with a black skirt and belt, and plenty of necklaces. And, finally...
Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Shorts: J. Crew, Jacket: Target, Necklace: Aldo, Shoes: Cole Haan, Bag: Vintage, Sunglasses: Forever 21 |
Dressing up some shorts with a blazer and feather necklace...What do you think? How would you style the same shirt, every day?
Here is another shirt I wore for the work day and the weekend!
I love the first and the last look the best.
ReplyDeleteFirst one's very striking and the last one's a bit naughty but very nice and classy at the same time. Actually, think the last one's my fave!
xo
Great Post Kristen!! Fantastic idea. Love the skirt in the first look, love the booties and the feather necklace. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks all - this was really fun, actually, and reminded me how much I like a simple polo short!
ReplyDeleteI love the second outfit the best! What a great post. It is fun to see how many differed outfits can be put together with just one shirt!

That last outfit is simply stunning! You've done such a great job on all of the looks, though - I would've never guessed that was the same shirt!
ReplyDeleteAnd Kristen, we've awarded you with the Best Blog award! Check it out on our latest post! :)

This is seriously impressive. I saw that question and thought there was no hope for someone with such a sad, restrictive dress code. You have proven me wrong!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, the last one is my favorite... probably because of my newly discovered love of shorts. So cute!
ReplyDeleteAlso like the first skirt.

I love this post! you would never even notice it is the same shirt!
ReplyDeletewhat a fun post! some gorgeous looks using one shirt!
ReplyDeletethat pop of blue in that beautiful skirt is amazing (top pic) wish we had Anthropologie here in Australia...or maybe not!
I love this! pretty much everyone has a simple button down, so I loved seeing all the unique ways that you styled it! By the way, you are ROCKING that red lipstick
ReplyDeletethe blue skirt in the first picture is such a darling! You are super stylish!
ReplyDeleteWork it!!!! I am so loving that thrifted jacket in the first look..
ReplyDeleteAll the best, Angel
@le sorelle Thank you ladies! While I can never hold a candle to your mother and grandma's closet :) You two inspire me!
ReplyDelete@Erin Blair Gobin Thanks, lady! It was actually fun putting all of these together.

ReplyDeleteLOL! Erin, I'm the one with the sad, restrictive dress code. Double that with being pregnant and I wear the same five outfits every week.
You obviously have an eye for exquisite prints!
ReplyDeleteFrom Mrs. G: For some reason Google wasn't letting me login to post a comment on your blog so I am posting it here because I *LOVED* this post: Amazeballs. If you ever come to Dallas for a visit I will pay you big money to put together outfits. And by "big money" do you still accept payment in the form of boxed wine... or has your taste progressed? xoxo MrsG
ReplyDeleteLovely! Love all the ways you styled this top! The first one is my fav!
