One of my favorite summertime Sunday activities in Boston is the SOWA Open Market. A combination of Farmers Market, Food Truck Fair and independent artisans and vendors, the Open Market is located in the South End of Boston, and is a wonderful way to support small and local businesses and find unique items. My girlfriend Haley and I headed out for some casual Sunday browsing yesterday, so I wanted to wear something cool and comfortable! A simple tee and jeans with some fun jewelery and funky shoes is always a sure-fire win.
I am crazy about these shoes from RACHEL Rachel Roy. They give me height, some flair, and are surprisingly comfortable. I was even able to easily navigate cobblestone streets, which are usually the nemesis of all of my shoes!
P.S. Is there a calamari craze afoot? It seemed like every vendor was selling items with a squid or an octopus...

@Fashion.MakeUp.LifeStyle and Miss A Thanks, ladies! Sometimes jeans and a tee are the way you have to go!!!
ReplyDeleteI was supposed to go to SOWA Sunday! Then we got too busy booo. I love simple outfit with these shoes. It's so perfect together
ReplyDelete@Caitlin I love it! When you do go, let me know if the squids are still all over everything (words I never thought I'd write)...
ReplyDeleteI really dig the vintage leather bracelet. I think it jazzes up the simple tee/jean combo, proving that accessories make the outfit. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like such a fun weekend! I love markets like that. Great weekend look too :)
ReplyDeleteI love these shoes! This looks like an outfit i would wear.. I love big tops and skinny jeans :)

Those shoes are indeed awesome! Although I don't understand why shoes like those don't break easily, since there's no support under the top part of the heel? Thanks for your comment :)
ReplyDeletecheers!

@Megan Hattie I wonder that about these kind of shoes, too!!! I am not an engineer; I have no idea how they keep from breaking!
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are amazing! I'm always fascinated by a cut-out heel. Us fashionistas will have to hunt down an engineer for some answers! Congrats on being able to walk the cobblestone streets - that is something only the bravest would attempt ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for all of your lovely comments, too!
