I wore this outfit on Sunday for casual errands. I just love the outfit combination of jeans and a jacket. It's simple and comfortable, but always looks pulled-together and chic. The jeans / jacket look can also been done on the cheap - as long as the fit is right. I own a few pairs of "designer" jeans, but more often than not I end up in Levis or Gap jeans!
I love loose jackets; this one is silk and flowy. Well, flowy except for the structured shoulder pads! Shoulder pads may get a bad, Dynasty-rap, but I find that if they are done well (i.e. not football pad-esque) they can make your outfit line slim and long.
Jacket: Jil Sander
Tee: Target
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Vince Camuto
Necklace: Karla's Closet
Sunglasses: Michael Kors
I am totally a fan of the shoulder pad! I got a great jacket from Zara with these bizarre triangle shoulder pads and I can't get enough of fit. I think they made a short version for Spring too, yes, even more shoulder pads for me!
ReplyDeleteClassic American girl look, great jeans and a t-shirt!

I love this casual-but-polished look - it's one of my staples. You make it look ultra classy with the silk jacket, and I love your love for mustard colored clothes.
