It's been pretty dreary here in The Hub. And by dreary, I mean, it has been raining all day, every day, all week. Outfit photos have been challenging - I've been toting around a tripod and darting outside whenever we get a few minutes reprieve. But spring is spring, and I love what all this rain has been doing for the plants around town! Speaking of plants, Mr. BF and I are planning to do some gardening this weekend, which means flowers, instead of bins will be in the background of my shots.
Right! On to my outfit. I have to admit, this is not what I wore to the office, where leggings would not be appropriate. But I had some post-work activities that allowed for me to give in to springtime comfort. My rain boots are another one of my anchor items (frequent readers of this blog know my anchor obsession, which I discussed earlier this week, and here, and here). As for my top, normally I am not a fan of linen, but I liked this top so much I bought one in chartreuse and another in poppy. Yes, it's a little wrinkly. It's linen! But it kept it's shape while still being soft and comfortable, and I see myself wearing this with pencil skirts, over my bathing suit and cruising around in jeans. Also, I'd like to give a shout out to my BlogFriend Brittany Leigh for her Daisical Necklace. I love it!! Check out her website for other beautiful pieces.

You have beautiful rubber boots! Right now mine are plain black with orange soles. More muckyard than runway :)
ReplyDeleteI hope the rain subsides soon!

cute boots and top! i hope we are done with the rain for a while...enough is enough!
ReplyDeleteToo bad its been raining so much! Your outfit is adorable though, you definitely haven't let the weather get you down in that sense :) Love your classic trench too
ReplyDelete@suzanne Your color quandary is legit - it looks like a chartreuse green in person and a mustard yellow on camera. I'm not sure why - all of the other colors come through pretty true!
ReplyDelete@brittany leigh I love this necklace, and yeah, I feel you on the tights. I tried a tights moratorium, but my legs were too cold. So I'm wearing them again today, blah.
ReplyDeleteSeeing you wearing your Wellingtons would brighten any rainy day, so cool.
